The Benchmark will focus on all aspects of international student recruitment and on international student mobility. This analysis will support the development of international education strategies for all New Zealand universities and will assist in the creation of government policies in the future. 

International education is an important enabler in strengthening New Zealand's economic, cultural and social links with the world. In 2014, the value of the international education industry reached $2.85 billion, with international student numbers increasing across almost all sectors of the industry. 

The initial questionnaire has been launched and we are very excited to start working on the analysis in the coming months.

We expect that this project will deliver insightful and useful information to all participants and assist the international education industry in New Zealand to continue to grow.
